Holiday Cottage Sleeping 6 In Carbost, Isle of Skye

Torgorm Cottage is located in Carbost, a crofting community on the Isle of Skye close to the majestic Cuillin Hills.

Overlooking beautiful Loch Harport, this modern bungalow is decorated and furnished to a high standard. It is a paradise for walkers, climbers, cyclists and birdwatchers. Golf, fishing and riding are also available.

The Old Inn in Carbost village is open for lunches and suppers, (darts, pool etc) - good value for your money for both drinks and food. There is another pub, Tigh Ailean, some five miles further on at Portnalong.

The Sligachan Hotel will serve breakfast from 8.30 am to non residents and drinks from 11.00 am. The hotel also has a wet weather centre which has a children’s crèche, billiards, pool, table tennis and other games.

About The Area

In the cottage you will find tourist literature detailing places of interest on the island. We would particularly recommend Dunvegan Castle, the Quiraing and Croft Museum at the north of the island. To the south, you will find the Clan Donald Centre (set amongst lovely gardens and forest walks) and Elgol with boat trips to Loch Coruisk. Beaches worth visiting include Claigan Coral Beach, Glenbrittle, Eynort, Talisker and Fiscavaig. Those interested in activity holidays should consider visiting Whitewave – Skye’s Outdoor Centre at Kilmuir near to Uig. Also well worth visiting is the Isle of Skye Bakery & Skyeworks Gallery in Portree.
